Terms & Conditions

1) Business statement-
   Bettergrassnow.com was started as a college project and then became a platform for mowing services.  We provide local lawn service providers, a way to communicate, quote services requested, and collect payment.  Any other purposes with result in account termination.  All service providers must pass a background check prior to receive service requests. At this time we are not hiring providers.  I operate this business personally, every aspect.  These terms of service serve as a legal binding agreement between Bettergrassnow.com, customers, and providers. 

2) Lawn mowing service-
   Lawn mowing service, includes grass mowing, weed whacking, edging, and leaf blowing.  This service does not include any services such as, bagging leafs, bagging grass clippings, tree trimming, hedge trimming or yard clean-up as. Theses services are additional and may be requested for an additional fee. In most cases, yard cleanup is not neccesary because we use mulching blades on our lawn mowers to return nutrients to the yard. 

3) Hedge trimming services-
   Hedge trimming is able to be quoted upon request.  This service is additional and not apart of standard mowing.  The price for hedge trimming varies depending on how many hedges.  The provider is required to trim the hedges, bag the clippings or debris for disposal. Hedge trimming should be scheduled on the day prior to bulk trash pickup.  scheduled for a bulk trash day.  The use of bulk trash requires the trash area to be according to local regulations for bulk trash pick up according to pile size. 

4) Payment and cancellation policy-
   After the customer places a service request, payment will be processed within 3 business days from placing the service request.  Customers may request service as early as 24 hours in advance.  Once the service is confirmed, if there happens to be a same-day cancellation, the provider may issue a partial credit for the full amount of the services requested, minus $10 cancellation fee. 

5) Customer responsibility and obligation-
   Customers have the responsibility to provide open access to the property, to the provider at the time when services are rendered.  If the provider is not able to access the entire property, the provider complete what is accessable, and collect the full amount for the mowing.  Customers are responsible to make sure there no pets or pet waste in the yard at the time of service.  If the yard is not in need of service, the provider reserves the right to skip the mowing, without pay for the service.  The customer also has a responsibility to provide the current condition of thier yard.  That means that if the grass is tall due to lack of care please report the condition to provide the quote accurately.  Customers and providers alike to treat everyone care and respect.  Failure to do so will result in service cancellation and account termination. 

6) Provider responsibility and obligation-
   To be a provider on our platform, we apply a 12.5% fee for Bettergrassnow to provide the platform for Lawn-care Specialist to be connected to customers requesting services for lawn care.   As a provider on the Bettergrassnow platform, you are obligated to provide quality service on the agreed scheduled date.  In case of an emergency or a situation occurs and you are unable to make the scheduled service request, emergencies are always an exception.  Providers are expected to be professional at all times, as well as being careful for property damage.  If damage occurs the provider must correct the situation as Bettergrassnow only provides the platform for professional lawn service providers.   Lawn service providers must also conduct themselves in a professional manner. If the situation arrises where the custmoer asks the provider to leave, kindly do so. If services were rendered complete the job status and provide the documents requested for completion.  Customers and providers alike to treat everyone kind and with respect.  Failure to do so will result in service cancellation and account termination.  It is the reponsibility for the providers to treat each customer fairly and to provide a refund if the requested cancellation is within the proper allocated amount of time.  If a request is accurate on the time frame and a refund is not provided then the provider may face removal from the platform and cancellation of their subscription without a possibility for refund. In order to complete a service request, before and after photos are required for each service.  Please make sure to take your picturs prior to leaving the completed property.  Upon arrival make sure as well to take your picture of the property.  This means 1 picture of the front yard before, 1 picture of after the front yard.  Also 1 image for before backyard, and 1 image for after backyard,  1 image of the customers address is required to complete the service requests.  The provider assues all accident injury liability as Bettergrassnow only provides a platform to which the provider is connected to the customer.  Each provider is a private contractor and does not work directly for Bettergrassnow.
